RE: The Jamaica Thread
Years ago, twice. But too long ago to provide any meaningful info. I was 17/19. Montego Bay just felt like being in America. Walled compounds, security holiday resort. Kingston I kept getting told not to go here not to go there, will get mugged if we walk up that street. Kingston felt like the only caribbean city I've been to (haven't been to Havana though), compared to all the other islands towns. Back then it really didn't seem safe. You'd hear shooting up the street.

RE: The Jamaica Thread
I was in Kingston for 5 days last year. Stopped in the reggae hostel just outside of down town which was sweet. Not a lot to do round there except sit around and smoke ridiculously fat spliffs (not exactly a bad thing). We were going to street parties in trench town most nights which were a good laugh. The dancing there is ridiculous, with the women grinding all over you before you know what going on. The night clubs didn't seem all that great as everyone seemed more 'dressed up' with a lot more standing about, which for me was no where near as much fun as the street parties.
Seemed pretty safe to me. All the locals I met were very friendly, although there were a lot of hustlers downtown, but they didn't come across as aggressive. Usain Bolts bar on half-way tree was decent for some food and a few beers early on. Apparently he hangs around there quite a lot when he's not at games, although I didn't see the guy.

Better. There are far more options. A lot of girls are overweight, but the skinny ones are fucking sexy.
The only problem is they're not nearly as warm to approaches as Haitians.
As a foreigner, you're about as exotic as jerk chicken (in Mo Bay and Negril anyway).

I'd be interested to see how Kingston compares.

RE: The Jamaica Thread
I didn't go in Jamaica yet. Last week I was searching some material about world famous places than I found some images of Jamaica’s famous places. Two places Dunn's River Falls, Bob Marley Museum attract me and I decided to visit these places. Next month I want to go in Jamaica with my younger brother. I need some guidance about this tour. Kindly help me out. I want to visit all the popular destinations too. How should I plan out?
