Taking somewhat of a break ...just 30 - 40 km a week running ...some weights ...maybe some bike...
Will hit hard likely in the fall if Aconcagua expedition will take on...Now just want to relax a little.

RE: Workout Thread
As I've gotten a little older I find I don't like the cortisol dumps of lengthy sessions and prefer to keep it short and intense or moderate and under an 1hr (swimming).

There's not much of a desire to kick box for 2 hours. Yoga, dancing (the funnest by far), and maybe 2 compound lift (4-5x5 as Inwont ever go below 4 reps due to fear of injury and lack of control of the weight) workouts are all I need now.

The biggest difference for me as I age is not training to exhaustion anymore. I grow and respond better if I leave a little gas in the tank...

Usually go 3-4 times a week for 2 hours. I do the same shit, but different exercises. Chest + Arms + Triceps + Abs 3 of the days and then 1 day I do back and shoulders and somewhere in between I sprinkle in legs.

I've been getting a great response from doing weighted pushups. I always thought my chest had been lagging until I began busting these out. I do 100 pushups with 20kg on my back. I want to add more but we only have like 2 25kg weights

When adjusting training listen to your body because everyone's different.

I think you can't out train a bad diet so its better to eat clean (grilled lean protein, veggies, salads, good carbs) and not train as hard. I don't love training lifting can be enjoyable but Id rather swim or dance all night to house music.

Why do 50% of these Russian bitches go to the gym and do nothing but stretch. Is there some sort of science behind it? I've seen some girls stretch for hours. No cardio no resistance training, just stretching as if preparing for the olympics, but end up going home.

I downed a .5 bottle of tequila Saturday. Past weekend was a blur. I go to gym today and see I've gained 1kg between Thursday and today...fuck. I'm on the bike foe the first time..
Ever. At 7.5 km will probably stop at 10 before I try and wreck my abs

I do stretching exercises for flexibility and if I feel sore on some part of my body rather than having it massaged..

RE: Workout Thread
I do minimalist strength training. I stick to big compound lifts, 3 days a week, only 30-45 mins a session. Started off with Stronglifts 5x5 (great for beginners) and eventually switched to Leangains RPT as I wanted to incorporate some hypertrophy. I train fasted on BCAAs. Here's my workout:

I do only 3 sets per exercise (only 2 for deadlift), ramping up the weight before I lift heavy.
1st set: 3-5 reps at heaviest weight
2nd set: 5-6 reps -10% weight
3rd set: 7-8 reps - 10% weight

Monday
Squats
Overhead Press
Pull ups

Wednesday
Bench Press
Weighted Dips
Pull downs (trying to bulk my arms atm)

Friday
Deadlifts
Weighted Chin ups

RE: Workout Thread
Zolo,

Do you want big arms or biceps that pop? Arms are 70% tricep... I have 17 inch arms at 11 percent body fat.... It's almost all tricep ... Now big biceps give the illusion of having big arms... Anyway to fill out a t-shirt sleeve or look good in a tank from any position but straight on you need massive triceps... I like the dips in your routine through in some skull crushers and you would be good to go...

My weighted dip record is about 15 with body weight plus 45 kilos. I think I have a video of it somewhere.

I know. That's why I'm doing pull downs. I'm focusing on triceps.
