Gary Neville is still a legend and will go on to be a very successful manager. Valencia is a nightmare first job though.

Valencia used to be a great team. Man the players they had. Even now, looking at their squad, should easily be top 6.

They're like my nucazzle. shitty owner, even worse managers.

RE: The football thread
It was Rafa who left them financially ruined, similar to what Eriksson did at Lazio.

I'll happily admit I'm incredibly biased against Rafa, but he has shown his true colours since; inheriting a treble winning squad and declaring them not good enough before struggling whilst having Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema at his disposal.

I really can't talk about managers at the moment though, not whilst we still have LVG in-charge.

Regarding Newcastle, I think McLaren has bought well, it's just a matter of whether the players can settle in time to keep you up. Even if you do go down and lose a couple of players, your squad should still bounce right back, I don't know if I could honestly say that about any other team in the relegation battle at the moment.

Yup, time for some good old scouse-killing. As shit as Van Gaal is he's 4-0 vs. the dippers.

Man U will lose this despite the advantage of playing 2nd leg at home

I can't be confident in us the way this season has gone, but the only consolation so far has been that as shite as we've been, the dippers have been even worse.

And I'm yet to see a defence that can handle Rashford Big Grin

You were saying?

In other news, Rafa to Newcastle.

Lucky geordies. Not sure if he has enough time left to turn it around this season and he won't still be there next season if they do get relegated but to go from Steve "wally" McLaren to a CL winning manager is a respectable upgrade.

RE: The football thread
Can't believe they've finally sacked fucking Tufty. Even if it's much to late and they made a hash of it again. How incompetent was Schteve?!

Rafas first proper manager we've had since SBR. But yeah not sure either we can survive. Kinda see us getting 35/36 points at the very best. Depends on Sunderland, whether they can beat it, I believe not, but who knows. Their fixture list is pretty awful but they found some form. Norwich are gone me thinks. Probably will come down to us playing Spurs at home on last day of the season, if we can get a point or even win (with title race hopefully being decided at that point) I think we might be ok yet.

Champions League quarter-final draw

Wolfsburg v Real Madrid - Real win
Bayern Munich v Benfica - Bayern win
Barcelona v Atletico Madrid - Barca win
Paris St-Germain v Manchester City - PSG win

Semi should be ...
Real Madrid

PSG

If you are looking for an upset from that list I think that Altheti have a decent chance of beating Barca

Holy shit! Liverpool vs Borussia Dortmund !

Draw

Sporting Braga (Portugal) v Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine)

Villarreal (Spain) v Sparta Prague (Czech Republic)

Athletic Bilbao (Spain) v Sevilla (Spain)

Borussia Dortmund (Germany) v Liverpool (England)

RIP Johan Cruyff

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/blog/espn-fc-uni...railblazer

Not even the end of March and already so many legends from music and sports gone

I find myself saying it once more in 2016, legend is an overused word but without question he was one.
