Re-locating as a doctor in training
Hello,

Has anybody here had any experience re-locating as a doctor in training?

I'm seriously considering it. I'm in Switzerland and it sucks.

Cheers

Yeah. You have a swiss state exam? Take the USMLE. At least the first two parts you can do in europe, either here in zuerich or in london/elsewhere.

I'm waiting for the results in 3 weeks. Where have you relocated? I'm thinking Northern, North-Eastern or Eastern Europe.

Here is some info on the salaries.

Ive worked in US, france, south africa, south korea and with msf. http://www.med.uzh.ch/de/Medizinstudium/...xamen.html

If you get staatsexamen im pretty sure anywhere in eastern europe they'll gladly have you. Not sure about scandinavia though. They will probably demand a language exam. Anywhere in asia will take you with open arms with USMLE ... Australians won't recognise the swiss state exam unless you can prove you have clinical practice..year of residency.
