Touchdown Cuba

The internet is FAST (I'm at the Iberostar Parque Central), I can access most sites, could not log into my Gmail business account (it said country not supported) OR the NN forum (maybe due to adult filter?) but could use a proxy for both.

Landed and passed immigration with no problem, money exchanged in the airport with no problem (they have two currencies here, one for locals and the other for tourists) got to my Casa within two hours and went out to party. Bumped into two Italian tourists on their last night here and went to party with them, made out with one, got the other jealous.. the usual story. Some of the locals are smoking hot but nothing I haven't seen before. Mixx you're right, they have amazing asses!!!!

First salsa lesson later today.

I travel 11 months a year so I don't run around like a lunatic from place to place trying to cover as much as I can as fast as I can... I settle down in places and take it easy (relatively) . I'll be in Havana until the 3rd of February. I also need to get online because of my work. Sadly I hardly have time for the blog it also take me ages to write those long posts, so I can only do 2-3 a month.

Oh right, because I was under the impression recently you were in the US, last week you were in Hong Kong, a few days ago London, now Cuba...

That's you taking it easy?

What's the story with logistics?
I hear hotels and casas have problems with Cuban ladies staying over.

Haha... yes :-) It was more like 1.5 months in the US, 3 weeks HK (one China), 1 week London, now 2.5 weeks Havana, then Salvador for the Carnival on February 3rd. But it's different than staying 2-3 days at a place running around like a lunatic, that would be too hard I think. I've done that in East Europe and I'll do it again in the summer, I alternate between backpacking and renting flats / staying longer in nice hotels.

I always said I still need to put about an hour a day.

You can always rent a Casa with a private separate entrance, then it's not a problem. Now I moved into a hotel, if they give me any problem I'll let you know.

You're a multi millionaire Vov? When did that happen? Seems like only a few weeks ago you and your buddy were slumming it around Europe in a van staying in hostels.

VoV be careful there is a Cholera outbreak in Cuba / Havana. The government finally confirmed it a few days ago. You may have noticed a run on soap at the local stores.

As I wrote above, I alternate between backpacking and apartments / hotels. Europe is perfect for traveling in a van, relatively short distances, lots of small places to explore... it was awesome. I'll do it again this spring I think.

Thanks, I know. There are signs about it everywhere and all water must be boiled.

RE: Touchdown Cuba
Hey bro,

I've been so busy dancing... I'm taking three hours lessons each morning and go out partying every night. I take back what I said the first post, the local average girl is NOT good looking. There are of course some good looking girls like everywhere but the average produce, in Havana at least, isn't very good. I've been hooking up with tourists and captured my Canadian flag but the local girls just don't do it for me... I like tall blonde girls, not short dark chicas... ALL the girls in big part of the clubs are professionals (and I mean ALL of them!!!) I've been only once in a club where the locals where actually normal chicks but it was, I think, the "posh" club of Havana (it's was in Hotel Riviera, it's called the Copa Room I think) and the vibe there was a little strange. My Spanish is very limited so that together with me not being very attracted to the locals just naturally pushes me towards the other tourists. Full report when I'm a little less busy... I have a fantastic teacher and I'm probably going to come back here for a whole month just for salsa (although, as you know, I prefer ET2 style but Casino is fun too)
